Welcome to the 11th edition of Cambridge Spotlight – marking five years since we launched this eNewsletter to keep higher education institutions around the world informed and connected. This newsletter began as a pandemic-era communication tool and has become a valuable channel for updates and collaboration.
Recently, over 350,000 students across 3,300 schools in 130 countries sat their Cambridge International AS & A Level exams. For the vast majority, August results release will mark the beginning of a new and transformative chapter: university.
But where will they go? At a time of heightened geopolitical uncertainty, shifting government policies, and changes in global student mobility, the path forward isn’t always clear. That’s why we believe now is the time to be bold — to strengthen partnerships and explore new, untapped pathways for Cambridge students.
With my new role as Director of University Pathways and Progression, I’m particularly interested in deepening collaboration with institutions that offer transnational education (TNE) opportunities, especially articulation programmes with universities in traditional destination countries. Of special interest are joint degree options that allow students to complete part of their studies — often a year — in the partner country, broadening both access and experience. If you’d like to collaborate with Cambridge, you can find out how to express interest below.
As a reminder, Cambridge International AS & A Level results will be released on Tuesday 12 August, followed by Cambridge IGCSE and O Level results on Tuesday 19 August.
Thank you for being part of this journey — and for supporting Cambridge learners as they take their next steps.
