Dear Colleague
We hope that you, your colleagues, and candidates remain safe and well.
We know that you need clarity about whether the June 2026 series exams will go ahead and we are writing to share more information with you.
Following the recent announcement by the Ministry of Education, and to ensure the safety and progression of candidates, we will move Cambridge International Schools in Bahrain to the portfolio of evidence route for June 2026.
This means your candidates can receive certification for their work and progress with their education. The portfolio of evidence route applies to Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge O Level, Cambridge International AS & A Level and Cambridge IPQ.
Exams will not take place at your school. Instead, you must now prepare to send us candidates’ portfolios of evidence for us to mark and grade their work. We will not move back to running exams in your country in the June 2026 series.
We know you will have questions about preparing portfolios of evidence and we are here to support you and answer your questions.
All our portfolio of evidence information and guidance is available on our public website, and we have also included links to this below.
We will continue to update you regularly, at least once each week. In our next update, we will provide more information about:
- June 2026 exam administration - next steps
- Cambridge Checkpoint
- Our withdrawal policy
- Support and guidance, including how to sign up to our free exams officer webinar which will focus on collecting and submitting portfolios, as well as answering your questions.
Thank you for working with us and for everything you are doing to help your candidates' progress with their education.
If you have questions, please contact us: info@cambridgeinternational.org
Best wishes
